Witness
Witness is a series that stays close to the edges of things, backstage, in passing, in the in-between moments where everything is happening but nothing is being announced.
The camera is present but doesn’t interrupt. Subjects are aware of being seen, yet remain elsewhere, caught between a public version of themselves and something more internal.
The work gravitates toward the quieter breaks in the noise. A shift in expression after the lights drop, a moment alone within a crowd, the seconds where the energy turns inward instead of out.
It isn’t focused on the spectacle, but on what slips past it, the subtle, unguarded moments that exist just beneath the surface.
